THE POWER OF OUR pH POWER FLUSH
THE POWER OF OUR pH POWER FLUSH
Think of UTI bacteria like unwanted guests. In a neutral environment, they settle in comfortably. In a slightly acidic one, they’re far less comfortable, and more likely to leave.
That’s why our kit includes a pH Power Flush! Designed to create a urinary tract environment that’s unsupportive of bacteria, the Vitamin C, Cranberry PAC and D-mannose help adjust your urine pH and flush and cleanse your urinary tract. It’s one more way the kit works with your body’s natural defenses*
Use at the very first sign of pain or burning when you urinate or think you might be developing a UTI.
These strips detect a UTI by measuring the levels of leukocytes (white blood cells) and nitrite in your urine - the higher your levels, the more likely you have a UTI.
- Remove a test strip from its foil pouch.
- Hold the test strip in your urine stream for 1-2 seconds.
- Read result at 1 minute for nitrite and at 2 minutes for leukocytes.
- Match the colour of the test strip pads to the color blocks on the foils pouch.
- Test As soon as your symptoms start and catch the UTI early.
- We recommend that you test before you start the pain relief tablets, as the phenazopyridine HCl in the pain relief tablets can interfere with the test.
Use to soothe UTI pain and burning discomfort. For fast relief, take it as soon as symptoms appear.
- Take 2 tablets with a full glass of water or our pH Power Flush™ (packaged separately), with or after meals as needed, 3 times a day for 2 days
- Orange pee? No, we didn't add dye or synthetic colors. The active ingredient in this medication (phenazopyridine HCl) naturally turns your urine a bright orange color.
- Don’t be alarmed but handle with care as it can stain your skin and clothing.
Use at the very first sign of pain or burning to slow the infection progression until you are able to see a doctor. Early action is key.
Take 2 tablets with a full glass of water or our pH Power Flush™ drink (packaged separately) 3 times a day for 2 days.
- The infection control formula contains methenamine, which converts to an antibacterial agent when urine pH is in the right range, helping to control bacteria to slow infection progression.
- The infection control formula also contains sodium salicylate, a pain reliever similar to aspirin.
Use at the very first sign of pain or burning when you urinate or think you might be developing a UTI.
Mix the packet of powder with 8-12 ounces of water and drink to adjust urine pH, flush the urinary tract, and support your body’s natural cleansing process. Drink twice daily for two days.
A flush drink mixture can work synergistically to help your body prevent infection if used quickly at the very first signs.

Don't worry, this is completely normal! Phenazopyridine, the active ingredient in the pain relief tablet, is a medicine that naturally has an orange color. Since this orange medicine targets your bladder for pain relief, it gives your urine a bright orange or reddish tint. There is no dye or color added to the medication; it's simply your body processing the organic molecule phenazopyridine.
The color will go away once you stop taking the tablets. The one thing to watch out for: it can stain underwear, clothing, and even your toilet seat, so wash it right away if it splashes on anything. The orange color is temporary and totally harmless, but good to know ahead of time.
For Methenamine to work properly as an antibacterial, the urine needs to be somewhat acidic (low pH). Methenamine is converted to an antibacterial in the urine when the pH is in the lower end of the spectrum and more acidic. The antibacterial is then activated and is toxic to the bacteria and slows their growth.
Your body usually gives you pretty clear signals. The big ones: burning when you pee, feeling like you need to go every few minutes (even when nothing comes out), and sometimes cloudy or strong-smelling urine. Some people also feel pressure or cramping in their lower belly. Trust your gut—if something feels off down there, it probably is. The Cadence OTC UTI Emergency Relief Kit contains diagnostic test strips that make it easy to test your urine.
Most UTIs start the same way: bacteria finds its way into your urinary tract and sets up camp, usually in the bladder. Here's why women are so vulnerable: the urethra, the tiny tube connecting your bladder to the outside world, is only about an inch and a half long. That's not much of a barrier. Sexual activity is the most significant trigger. Intercourse can push bacteria toward the bladder, which is why urinating immediately afterward is one of the most effective preventive steps a woman can take. Hormones play a role too. After menopause, lower estrogen levels can thin the lining of the urinary tract, making it easier for bacteria to take hold.
The numbers tell the story: about half of all women will get at least one UTI in their lifetime. And for roughly one in four of them, it won't be the last — recurring infections are far more common than most people realize.
Pause. Don't panic. At the first sign, start drinking plenty of water to help flush out bacteria. Consider using Cadence OTC’s UTI Emergency Relief Kit to relieve your symptoms and help flush out the bacteria. If symptoms stick around or get worse after a day or two, it's important to see a healthcare provider.
Patient surveys indicate that some people are able to prevent a UTI from taking hold if they respond quickly to early or mild symptoms with water and at-home remedies. Sometimes if you catch it early, you can support your immune system to flush out the bacteria. On the other hand, many UTIs need antibiotics to fully clear up. Waiting too long can lead to a kidney infection, which is no joke. When in doubt, get it checked out.
The UTI Emergency Relief Kit is designed to be used for only two days. If your symptoms persist, it's important to consult with a doctor and receive a prescription for antibiotics. If you don't have easy access to a doctor, the kit contains a QR code to connect you with our telemedicine partner.
See a doctor right away if:
- Symptoms last more than a day or two
- Symptoms are severe or getting worse
- You have a fever, chills, or back pain (possible kidney infection)
- You see blood in your urine
- You're pregnant
Better safe than sorry, kidney infections require immediate medical attention. A doctor can prescribe antibiotics and do a urine culture to identify the specific bacteria causing the infection.
Some bodies are just more prone to UTIs due to anatomy, hormonal changes, sexual activity, or underlying health conditions like diabetes. Also, one UTI can sometimes cause a subsequent UTI by scarring the urinary tract lining or creating a biofilm, making it easier for bacteria to stick. Recurrent use of antibiotics can disrupt the urinary biome by killing the good bacteria that protect against the bad bacteria. If you are experiencing recurrent UTIs there are things you can do to help prevent a future UTI.
A few simple habits can make a real difference:
- Pee after sex (seriously, every time)
- Wipe front to back
- Stay hydrated—water is your friend
- Don't hold it when you need to go
- Skip harsh soaps or douches down there
- Consider switching birth control if yours seems to trigger UTIs
- Wear breathable cotton underwear
- Try a drink mix with acidic vitamin C ascorbic acid, D-mannose (a natural sugar) and cranberry PAC to help prevent bacteria from sticking to your urinary tract, especially after sex. You will find this in our UTI Emergency Relief Kit.
If your symptoms continue for more than a day or two, it's important to consult a doctor, and we realize that some people may not have access to doctor. TwentyEight Health is our telemedicine partner who can help you to quickly access a doctor for consultation and to receive an antibiotic prescription to cure your UTI if needed. They can send a prescription to your preferred pharmacy in just 4-6 hours! Twentyeight Health is a women's health platform focused on making care accessible for every woman.
