Professor Malcom Potts, a pioneer in global reproductive health and human rights and founding chairman of Cadence OTC, has passed away at the age of 90.
A visionary leader and tireless advocate of reproductive health, he authored over 300 scientific papers and influential books, shaping generations of thought and action in the field.


Malcom’s legacy is defined not only by his groundbreaking scholarship but also by his unwavering commitment to action – transforming access to family planning and championing health equity around the world. In the final decade of his life, he worked with the Cadence OTC team to eliminate the prescription barrier to the birth control pill. His philosophy was simple but profound: do the essential work, do it well and always let evidence lead the way.
